Team MVP wins the 11U elite division title
Team MVP continues its winning ways. Through out the season MVP took time out to participate and win the Triple Crown Fall Nationals in Saint Augustine Florida, The USSSA War on I-4 in Plant City Florida, and the USSSA Fall State Championship in Kissimmee Florida. But after winning those tournaments they knew that it would not feel the same if they did not win the Florida Premiere League 11U Elite Division. Mission accomplished, after some cancellations and time changes the 11U championship game was played Monday night at Pembroke Shores Park between Team MVP and the PPO Bengals. And what a game it was, after MVP took a 4-0 lead the Bengals rallied back and took the lead 5-4. In the forth inning with the score tied 5-5 pinch hitter Edgar Quintana put Team MVP up one with a single to center. In the top of the six, PPO tied it at 6. In the bottom of the six MVP scored the winning run on a bases loaded base hit by Marcos Pedraza to end the game and give MVP its first FPBL Title. These kids made a commitment in the beginning of September to work hard in practice and carry that over to their games, and that is exactly what they have done. Congratulations Team MVP!
