Former FPBL player shines in ACC Tournament....but FSU loses
Durham, NC.
As a freshman last year Jose Brizuela had his moments during the season where he shined, but for the most part struggle a bit, but being a freshman it was understood by his Coaches and head Coach Mike Martin stuck with him. The 2013 season has been one exceptional season for Brizuela. Jose leads his 'Noles with a .320 batting average second only to DJ Stewart on his team, leads the team with 51 RBI's and is a major reason for FSU's outstanding season.
Jose Brizuela played for 5 years in the FPBL for the Broward Bulldogs Coached by Alex Fernandez, he also won two High School State Championships with Archbishop Mc Carthy High School before moving on to FSU.
Brizuela helped his team yesterday with a sacrifice fly ball in the bottom of 6th inning driving in a run to tie the game at 2-2 against Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament, but after taking a 3-2 lead into the 9th Inning FSU closer Robby Cole surrender two HR's one to first baseman A.J. Murray and the go ahead run to SS Mott Hyde that would give Georgia Tech a 4-3 lead and that would be all Georgia Tech need it, as they win the ACC Tournament opener.
