PEMBROKE PINES, FL. They begin playing together as an 8u Coach Pitch team with the West Pines Cobras and for 6 years played in the FPBL before they would go their separate ways into High School. Zack Collins (left) would enroll at University School while Willie Abreu would go to Matter Lakes Academy, the two would reunite in the summer to play for the South Florida Elite Squad, where both of them achieved tremendous amount of success, the two would win Perfect Game East Cobb Tournament, regarded as one of the most prestigious Summer Ball Events anywhere, but they were not done. They were selected to play with Team USA and would help win a gold medal for Team USA. After Team USA came MLB Draft and both were chosen in the MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds, Willie was taken in the 14th round while Zack was taken in the 27th round. After serious consideration about their offers, they both decided  that it was in their best Interest to go play college ball.....and since they had both committed to the University of Miami, yet again they are together one more time. These two kids will play a lot as freshman and will be on the line up card come Opening Day...who knows where the future will take them, but all I can say is that "Together" they've come along pretty far and this ride is not over for them.
