Boa Raton, FL. After a great season and finishing 1st in their division the Morel's Dragons 14/15 U baseball team won their 1st round playoff game beating the Florida Suns 5-1. Brandon Williams pitched a gem of a game allowing only 1 run in 6 innings. Danny Hernandez cemented the win by coming in relief. Due to great pitching the Dragons were able to preserve another pitching ace Jared Petronis for a later appearance. Both Joseph Amoroso and Alex Vergara played stellar defense making plays that were worthy of  ESPN Highlights.Nicolas Amoroso and Diego Ramos continued to drive in runs with N. Amoroso having 2 RBI's and D. Ramos 1 RBI on the day. Matthew Savoca also contributed by driving in Nicolas Bautista to add insurance in the 4th inning. Danny Hernandez , Ramiro Soto, Nick Amoroso, and Kevin Mendiguren all hit safely to power the offense in this much needed win to move on to the 2nd round of playoff play.
