FPBL 2014 Season Coming to an end this weekend


Pembroke Pines, Fl. In what has been a phenomenal season in the league this year we will again crown our Champions on Saturday. The league will crown 13 League Champions in 7 different age divisions.

The league experimented this season with playoff games being played at the higher seeds home park and although the travel in some cases was a bit of an issue, for the most part has been well accepted. Although this is not the way we would like to have our playoffs, it was the only solution this season. We will review and poll some of the coaches and get their Input and will move on and Improve on what went wrong or what needs to be corrected.

In our Final Four this weekend we have some of the best teams in South Florida paying and in some divisions a few surprises managed to make the leap.

The 9 Under Division has  a few of the lower seeds making it to the show. The West Broward Warriors seed it 9th and will take on the winner of the Cooper City & Miami Outlaws game, while in the other side of the bracket the #10 seed Wellington Colts take on the #6 Broward Bombers. The top two seeds Miramar Canes and Parkland Elite went down in the second round.

The 10under AA Divison has the # 1 seed Young Guns taking on the # 3 Coconut Creek Hawks, in what should be a very good game. 

The 10u AAA has the # 1 Outlaws still fighting and will take on a pesky SF Hitmen team who is coming off an Impressive 4-3 win over the Phenom Elite and on the other side of the bracket #7 Miramar Canes winners of the recent USSSA Naples Super NIT is taking on the Bulldogs of Pembroke Lakes who defeated the West Boca Panthers 4-0 to advacne.

In the 11u AA Divison the Coconut Creek Hawks stunned the # 1 seed Pasadena Panthers with an 11-3 win and will now take on the #2 seed Cowboys of Cooper City. The 11u AAA Divison has the Treasure Coast Wildcats making the trip down from Jensen Beach to tackle the Davie Eite team a much Improved and well coached team. The winner will take on the winner of the Miami Avengers a 10th seed who beat the #2 Miramar Canes the Avengers will take on the #6 Hitmen.

The 11u Majors has the best two teams #1 # 2 seed going at it between national powerhose Panama Mutiny and Ridge Rats.

The same can be said about the12u AA Division with the # 1 Maddawgs taking on the #2 seed Sunrise Sharks.

In our 12u AAA Division the #8 seed SF Hitmen have knocked off some Impressive teams to get the Final Four they first defeated the # 1 seed in Cooper City and then took on a very good #9 Jedi Baseball, they must now face another challenge when they go against the Ft. Lightning. Over in the other side of the bracket you have the Naples Super NIT runner up in the Miami Predators #2 seed taking on the CS Seadogs, the Seadogs also took care of business by defeating the #3 Weston Black Hawks. The 12u Majors division has the #3 Wellington Colts taking on cross town rival in the Palm Beach Shockers the #2 seed the winner will take on the the winner of the #1 seed Plantation Stars vs #5 West Pines Cobras.
