The 12U PLO Wildcats entered the 2014 USSSA Thanksgiving Shoot-Out looking for a good showing and did this and more.  The Wildcats went 1-0-1 in pool games with a tie against Benik Baseball and a solid 10 -3 win against the Pirates.  They entered elimination brackets games seeded #2 having to face a solid Miramar Canes team in their first elimination game.  The Wildcats took an early lead but had to fight back a Canes late rally ending with a 4-3 win and advancing.  Their next opponents was the Miami Avengers who have given the Wildcats problems in the past but after a quick stat the Wildcats took a comfortable lead with solid pitching by their new ace Keven Caceres who went five innings.  This win took the Wildcats to the Championship game against Benik Baseball who came out strong and took a 5 – 0 lead in the first inning but the Wildcats kept fighting and answered with four runs of their own ending the inning just back one run.  Benik Baseball did not end their scoring in the 2^nd although the Wildcats kept them to just one more run and then came back and scored two runs themselves ending the inning at 6 – 6.  Benik Baseball came back and took the lead in the 3^rd Inning scoring one more run and holding the Wildcats to no runs ending the inning with a one run lead.  The 4^th inning say great defense on both sides allowing no runs by any team.  The 5^th inning found the Wildcats in a one run deficit having to hold Benik Baseball to no runs which they did and scoring four runs ending the inning with a 10-7 lead.  Benik Baseball was not going down without a fight and answered with good hitting but fell short losing 10-9 to the Wildcats.

The game saw great Wildcats hitting from A Dominguez, C James, J Quintana, R Nappi, and J Quintana with pitching from D Robinson and G Perez saving the game.
