The Miramar Canes 13U, won the Championship  of the Ripken Experience Summer Slam Week-Long Tournament 2016, held at Myrtle Beach SC,June 19 - 24 2016
The Canes went 4-1 on the seeding games, and won 2 games on Thursday to reach the Finals, and defeated the Brookwood Broncos From Wisconsin, in the final 10-1 to earn the Championship title. The canes were South Florida representation along with the Miami Avengers,and Miami STC T-Breds. Teams from Chicago, Texas, Georgia, Wisconsin,Michigan Tennessee, and Ohio were also in the competition., a total of 13 teams played this division.
in the Last 4 games the Canes pitchers went the distance with 4 complete games. These pitchers are: Santiago Barcelo, Robert Mendez, Gabriel Perez and Pitching in the final was Tyler Valdes, Not only pitching a complete game but ending up being the MVP of the Game. All of the Players contributed one way or another to reach this Major Win!

All in all it was a great Week for the Miramar Canes 13U, and their Coaches, Javier Lopez, Chris Patten and Antonio Luengo.
