The West Pines Nike Cobras traveled to Sterling Hills, Michigan over Memorial Day to participate in USSSA’a Michigan Super NIT at stake was a bid to the Elite 24 in Orlando in August.

West Pines went undefeated in its three seeding games beating the Grosse Point Park Titans 22-0, Brighton Bulldogs Black 13-0 and the Birmingham Bears 16-0.  In the elimination round, Nike then went on to beat two of Michigan’s premier teams the Michigan Bulls 8-0 and the Detroit Bees 13-2 to end up in the championship game against Beaver Valley Red from Western Pennsylvania.  Ina tight game, the Nike Cobras beat Beaver Valley 6-5 earning a spot in the 10U USSSA Elite 24 in August at Disney.
