Summer Ball Playoff Pics, click hereKenny Keri finished his summer ball in grand style today and the Elite Squad players may not want to put away their bats, despite having the season come to an end today. Keri's pitching performance was one his very best this summer striking out 11 Gamecock batters and allowing just three base hits in 6 Innings of shut out ball. Keri's performance earned him the Game MVP he also had a bunt for a hit and scored a run.
Michael Carballo too, wishes the season would not end as he ends the summer going 3-3 today and a 2-2 performance yesterday that Included a 3-run Homerun. Patrick Grady continued his terrific summer by smacking two more hits today after going 2-3 yesterday and pitching 5-Innings of shut out ball. This was an entire team effort with just about everyone doing something productive either on offense or defensively.
The Clewiston Gamecocks kept the game close for three innings with pitcher Coleman Sample, but in the third inning 2nd baseman Eric Lunde lead off with a base hit, Alex Freedman would follow with a double down the first base line to put runners on 2nd & third............Grady would ground out, but first baseman Tim Remes would drive in the first two runs and the Elite Squad would not look back as Keri kept their bats silence. The Squad went on to score 7 more runs. This was the SF Elite second consecutive title in the Summer Ball League.
