Standing room only !! Over 100 Coaches attend the meeting


It's official now,  Florida Premier Sports to host the '09 USSSA Elite 24 Qualifier. They say that hard work pays off and that's the case with this announcement made today by Florida's State Director George Gonzalez.

We're bringing to South Florida what many of the teams want it..................and that's a Super NIT. This tournament gives teams from this area a chance to play in trying to qualify for the Premier Event In youth travel ball, the Elite 24 World Series !

According to George Gonzalez a lot more USSSA events will be coming this way. Player showcases that may start for players that are as young as 10 years old. Florida Travel Teams will come down and meet in the TC for a three team round robin event. This was discuss last season but it never materialized.This season division Champions will earn a paid birth to the Winter World Championships in Orlando, Fl. to be held on Dec 27-30th. A USSSA Wood Bat World Series is coming to Miramar this coming December. Only teams that have won or will win specific tournaments will be invited.

An All-star Showcase event is being discuss for this area. A similar event was held this weekend in Orlando, Fl. and attracted over 220 players.

The 14U FPBL Elite Squad Coaching Staff was chosen and they are some of most respected and loyal supporters of the league. They are Rick Oren from the Plantation Stars a 4 year veteran in the league, Mike White Coach of the former team known as the PPO Bengals and 5 year veteran and the oldest Coach in the league with 6 years under his belt and still going strong,  Miramar Maddogs Coach Taso Metallides. These Coaches along with League President Gaspar Palmer will lead the Elite Squad to what we hope is another successful experience with the 14Under players.
