Weston Hawks true Champions !!
The 14-under YMCA Weston Hawks capped off an unbelievable year of baseball
this past weekend as they won the Triple Crown, Fall Nationals in St. Augustine,
Florida. To win the championship, the YMCA Hawks beat the defending AAU National
Champions (Tampa Bay Warriors) and then went on to defeat a very talented Team
Worth in the Finals by a score of 6 to 4.
The 14-under YMCA Hawks were a major force thru out the entire
20007-2008 season. Their accomplishments have elevated their reputation, among
their peers, to a level where they are now considered one of the great teams to
have come out of South Florida. Their dominance resulted in multiple
Championships this past year. Coach Ed says "The Hawks are proud to call FPBL
their League. The many great teams in FPBL enabled the Hawks to challenge
themselves on a weekly basis, therefore enabling the boys take their skill sets
and performance standards to a very high level. I want to thank Gaspar and all
of the very talented teams/coaches in the FPBL for the wonderful experiences we
shared over the past many years."
