Rattlers 10U Maroon team goes 2-1 over the weekend
The Weston Rattlers 10U "Maroon" Team played 3 games in less then 48 hours this weekend and came away 2-1.
On Friday evening (9/29), the Rattlers won a close game 6-5 against the upstart Margate Dragons at Tequesta. Sunday morning (10/1), they faced the Dragons again in the 2nd game of a Home & Home series. The Dragons this time would get the best of the Rattlers with their 6th inning come from behind win. This was a very winnable game from all accounts for the Rattlers a game they let slip away. However all was not lost, as the Rattlers would win their final game of the day, with Choppy (35) on the mound, the Rattlers Maroon team plowed through one of the best teams (Team Hammertime of WPB) in the Division. Highlights included, a lead off bomb over the fence by John Ham and strong defense with a nice double play turned by Richard Labarca (21), Tommy Taborda (34) and Perry Littrell (17)!
