The 12u South Florida Thunder played in the TC Division last season and were crowned Champions of the 11u TC Division, although many would say that the TC  was Not as strong as it is in the FPBL, so what they do they comedown to the FPBL to prove everyone that this team can play with the best anywhere. As a new team to the FPBL we chose to put the SF Thunder in the AAA division against Coach Kobel wishes, Coach Kobel want it to play in the Majors, but considering that they had not played down here I suggested that they play in the AAA Division and they did..................well as the saying goes the rest is history.

The South Florida Thunder was the second seeded  team coming into the playoffs with a divisional record 13-3 but when it was all over they are the 12u Champs in the AAA and it was done in spectacular fashion as they defeated the ML Bombers 2-0 to capture the 12u AAA League Title.

The Thunder had a phenomenal run at this title, as they won five consecutive games defeating all of the  top teams in the 12u division to win it all. In the Championship Game, The South Florida Thunder 12's won the AAA Division beating the Miami Lakes Bombers 2-0.  Josh Koebel led the way with his pitching and was unstoppable.  He struck out 11 batters in the complete game victory.  Great pitching and defense is what carried us throughout the playoffs.

The South Florida Thunder becomes the first team to win League titles in two FPS League; the TC 11u League Champion in '08 Spring Season and now the FPBL title.............Congratulations to the Thunder !!
