Our first ever Wood Bat Tournament is completely sold out and 66 teams will have a shot at bragging rights, when we begin play next Wednesday. Some of the best teams in South Florida will take part and we expect lots of surprises in this tournament. Special USSSA umpires will be doing this event. These umpires are being hand picked and will be tested & evaluated, their performance in this event will determine the direction of USSSA Sanctioned Tournaments and their use of umpires.

Florida Premier Sports is looking to strengthen the quality of umpires in Youth Baseball in South Florida. We hope to build a solid staff of Certified USSSA Umpires so that all USSSA Events use these umps that understand Rules & Procedures of USSSA Events. Our umpiring program will conduct classes on an annual basis and they will all be required to be USSSA Certified Umpires, and when any Director is hosting a USSSA Sanctioned event, these and only these umpires will be used at these events or the event will not be sanctioned to such Director or Organization.

Alex Fernandez's Strikezone Store will sponsor the Strike Zone Home Run Derby Contest. The contest will be held in Silver Lakes Park in Miramar,  from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Saturday.

The event is open for Florida Premier age legal players. If you play in the league, but your team is not playing in the tournament you too can take part in the event. If you're not playing and would like to participate you MUST download the Strike Zone Homerun  Derby Contest form, from our Handout Page and bring it with you, players that are NOT participating in the tournamnet and do NOT bring this form , will NOT be allowed to take part. The contest will have a cost of $ 5.00
