The 9u Miami Hardball team visited the Weston Rattlers this morning and what a game it was between these two, meeting for the first time ever. A hard fought game and it seemed that Hardball had it in the bag. Going into the last inning Hardball had 4-2 lead, but as it is in the 9u division no lead is to BIG and in this case it came down to a tough and controversial call when the Rattlers hitter drove the ball deep with two runners on base and scoring those two to tie the game, but it was NOT over as the hitter sprinted to home to break the 4-4 tie, the catcher was called for obstruction at the plate, making  it 5-4 to end the game, but what a terrific debut for the Hardball Academy team.

I personally would like to Thank Coach Dave Wahba for taking this game at the last minute to help out the Hardball Academy team and get their first FPS game this season. Hardball will take on the Miramar Canes next Saturday in Flagami.
