The World Baseball Classic Tournament is getting exciting this year with the USA taking it a bit more seriously after being pushed around in '06 and now they come to South Florida to face Puerto Rico in round two.

Now, at the youth level Florida Premier Sports and the World Baseball Association will bring this summer to South Florida  our version of the WBCT.

The first International Youth Travel Baseball Tournament held in South Florida is coming to Homestead. Already commitments from Japan, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama etc. Also, teams from Texas, California Tennessee have express Interest in participating in the event.

This event will give local teams an opportunity to face competition that they will probably not ever have a chance to see anywhere, so If you're planning a trip this summer to play ball, think about the International Challenge that you will have in Homestead.

The event is being marketed through various channels in the media and already Comcast will have a spot on the air, Comcast will also air 30 second ads and Championship Games are being televised in some age divisions.
