It seems like yesterday, when it all started in the FPBL, but it's been 6 years now and some of our first ever players and league All-stars are still shinning as they compete in High School Ball this year.

In our first ever season '03, the league had 7 teams, with one of the seven teams playing up in age and that was the Broward Bulldogs team, coached by Alex Fernandez................. that season we played 18 games, 3 against each other and a mid season All-star Game was played with a Coach's Softball Game....the "Old Farts" Softball Game as we appropriately called it.

Now, the kids most of them juniors and sophomores in their respective high schools and some are making Coaches & Scouts head turn.

The '03 All-Stars players were broken into two divisions, American & National with each team sending 3 All-stars and a Home Run Derby & Roadrunner participant..........I cannot begin to tell you how much fun it was ! we had Steve Dematties as one of the Coaches and Gaspar Palmer as the other and even a side bet was in hand between the two coaches and one that I won from Steve, which he never made good on it, but that's Steve.

Those days may never comeback but the memories will last a lifetime...........and I am one of those that is very happy to have been a part of the of it.
