10u CS Sandlot & PSN Eagles duke it out in doubleheader
The 10U Sandlot had 2 barn burner games against a very talented Miami-Dade
Eagles team on Sunday. The Sandlot took both games 6-5 and 5-4.
In
the first game the Sandlot shut down the powerful hitters from Dade County with
some great pitching from Jonathan Mullens as well as Max Lazar. The Eagles took
the lead from the Sandlot in the top of the 6th inning with some great base
running as well as some really good hitting. The Eagles took a 2 run lead from
the Sandlot going into the bottom of the 6th inning. The Eagles behind some
really good pitching as well had 1 walk and one hit with 1 out and Gonzo from
the Dade Eagles decided to load the bases with a hitter who was 0-2 with 2
strikeouts coming up, so with the infield in and 2 strikes on the batter Phillip
Colosi hit a line drive to right center to bring in 3 runs to end the game
6-5.
In the second game the Sandlot had the lead the entire game due
to 2 home runs from Jordan Epstein who brought in 4 runs himself and some
stellar pitching from Eric Rath and Robbie Dulin, to shoot down the eagles 5-4.
The Eagles also with some great pitching as well as having 2 homeruns of there
own just could not put the hot Sandlot flames out. There were some close calls
that could have changed the outcome but these 2 teams will be around to play
another day, and maybe the outcome will be different but this day belonged to
Sandlot.
