Teams jockeying for playoff positions...............9u Bengals, 12u Cobras fall
They did it last year.......Can they do it again?
With the playoffs right around the corner, there are some teams making their late season climb in the standings. The 12u Panthers Baseball team took a pair form last season Champs the West Pines Cobras and in the 9u Division Team Renteria stopped the PPO Bengals streak with a 7-4 win on Saturday, while in the 9u AAA the top two teams Parkland Pokers and the West Boyton Thunder squared-off this weekend in what may be the #1 & #2 seed in that division. The Pokers took the first game and the two fought to a 5-5 in the second game.
The 8u division has the top two teams leading the division meeting towards the end of the season which it may determine the # 1 seed. The RPB Piranaz hold the top spot now with a record of 16-2 followed by the Weston Hawks at 15-1-1.
The West Boca Panther 10u continues on their wining ways as they took two games from the Miramar Canes this weekend. The Panthers are in first place in the 10u AAA division and their 3 loses came in the hands of the Mizuno Edge team earlier in the season and a close game loss against the Plantation Stars. Mizuno Edge remains undefeated in that division. 11u AAA Team Renteria squeaked past the SF Grasshoppers in a 13-12 in their second game of a double header played on Saturday. Team Renteria Improved to 21-1-1 The 11u Majors is lead by the Nike Cobras who remain undefeated at 19-0 and the Wellington Warriors are on top of the 11u American division at 17-5 just ahead of the Pro-Ball Cobras.
The 12u Division leaders are the Dynasty Elite leading the way in the Majors National at12-3-1 followed by the Boca Starz at 12-5,over in the American we have the Margate Titans at 17-2 followed by the Panthers at 11-5.
The 13u Majors Division has the SF Extreme leading the way at 14-0-1 followed by the PPO Reddogs at 13-2. The Extreme suffered their only blemish on their record when Team Seminole tied them last week, while the PPO Reddogs suffered their second loss at the hands of the Weston Rattlers 2-1. The Reddogs had defeated the Rattlers earlier in the week. The 13u AAA Division has the PL Bulldogs on top with a 12-2 record but closing up on them is the Weston Hawks at 11-3, they split in regular season play.
The 14u Majors Division is lead by the Miramar Maddogs at 14-2 followed closely by the Plantation Stars at 12-5..............These two Warriors, Coach Taso and Coach Rick Oren have been in the league for 5 years and could go out playing each other in the finals, but lots of teams feel differently. The 14u AAA has the SF Braves on top at 16-1-3 followed by the Broward Eagles at 13-1.
It should be an Interesting Championship Weekend.
