Broward Nationals kick off their summer ball season...............
Nationals Teammates Congratulate Josh Arencibia after blastAfter a tough week for the Nationals players and families and everyone who new Ryan Smith, today's game was a chance to bring together all of the kids to play ball and perhaps keep their minds from the the tragic loss of their friend.
The Nationals roar back from a 5-0 deficit to come from behind in dramatic fashion in defeating the SF Elite Squad-Black 9-8. The Nationals open their season with a doubleheader, but would lose the second game against the SF Elite Squad-Red 11-6. The Nationals bright spot in the second game was Josh Arencibia who took a pitch from starter and winner Doug Archer over the left center field fence for a home run. Alex Freedman had two doubles and drove in 4 runs for the squad as they Improve to 2-0 in the season.
