Teammates Reunited in East Cobb Tournament.............

After playing their last game together four years ago as part of the Broward Canes team, this week was a reunion among players who together shared many laughs and silly things while playing the game they love. The East Cobb Astros met the South Florida Elite Squad in the semi final game of a tournament that had 192 17u teams taking part in a week long event. The Astros defeated the Squad 4-0 to advance to the Championship game, but would lose to the ABD Bulldogs.

The beauty of travel baseball is the time you spend with your friends and memories your share together. These four players had many memories to share this past week.

Alexander Cruz is now living in Marietta, Georgia where he is a standout at Trinity Blessed High School, this past year AC as he was called by all of his teamamtes made First  Team Selection and has been playing with the Astros since his arrival to Georgia in '05, while his teammates from left to right Kenny Keri-Chaminade Maddona High School, Tyler Palmer- University School, Alex Freedman- University School all made 2nd Team All-Broward County and are being coahed by  University High School/SF Elite Squad head Coach Richard Palmer.

As someone who coached these kids for 7 years is great to see how they have mature as ball players, but is even better to see that after 10 years of playing baseball, they are all still friends and doing waht they love............Playing Baseball !
