CS Colts Summer Ball League Champs !!
The Summer Ball season came to an end today with two spectacular games. The JV Division Champion U-Baseball saw several leads slipped away, but in the end pitcher Willie Abreu came in relief and shut the door on the Maddball team. With two outs and the bases loaded and a 1 run lead U-Baseball Abreu was brought in for starter Colin Tindal to face one of the best Madball hitters in Esteban Puerta and after a 1-0 count Abreu came in on Puerta and hit him on the foot tying the game at 7-7, Abreu would get the next hitter to fly out and end the threat.
In the bottom of the 6th inning a throwing error from third base allowed the go ahead run. Mike White laid down a bunt down the third base line with a runner on second, the third baseman scooped the ball and made an attempt to throw the runner out, but the ball sailed past the first baseman allowing the runner to score and give U-Baseball an 8-7 lead, a lead they would hold behind the pitching of Willie Abreu, who retired the side in order, in the bottom of seventh Inning to preserve the win for U-baseball. Colin Tindal received the season MVP for his outstanding pitching. The offense was provided by Zack collins who went 3-3 with a solo shot over the right field fence. Colin Tindal had two hits in the game.Congratulations to the U-baseball team and Madball for their outstanding season in the league.

CS Colts - 4
Elite Squad-Black -3
The Coral Springs Colts served the Elite Squad a dose of off-speed stuff and it worked. Pitcher Cole Bumbales pitched 5 strong Innings allowing just an earned run in their win 4-3over the Elite Squad................sound play throughout the weekend with the CS Colts is what we saw, a young, but sound team, says League Director Gaspar Palmer.
The Squad had their chances late in the game but a few base running mistakes cost them a few runs that would have made the difference in the outcome of the game, but give the Colts credit on their win.........they were the best team out here today. Congratulations to the Colts & Elite Squad
