South Florida Teams fall short In Elite 32 World Series Tournament
Tomateros de California 11u USSSA Elite 32 Champions
A valiant effort was made by the South Florida teams in this past weekend USSSA Elite 32 World Series Tournament. FPBL 13u South Florida Extreme made it to the final four losing to Terror Basebal, while the 13u Northstars made it to the sweet 16 the Sf Extreme finished in fourth place and the Northstars in 9th. Congratulations to Coach Soto and Coach Rogers on their showing in this event.
The 9u had the Florida Pokers finishing in 5th place tied with four other teams. The Pokers lost a tough game against Mizuno's Glory 6-5 in the sweet 16 round.
The 11u division had the most participation from South Florida and in the end it was Leon Medical Center our last team standing playing against the Tomateros of California with the Tomateros winning the game and advancing to the Championship game against Team Twelve and winning it. The West Pines Nike Cobras, Pro Ball Baseball and Miami Playmakers all did well in this elite event.
