FPBL's 14th season set to kick off.........Hawks vs The Broward Scorpions
It seems like yesterday when the FPBL kicked off their first season back in '03......when the 11u Cooper City Cowboys Coached by Steve Khan played the Broward Canes coached by Gaspar, the game was won by the Cowboys in what kicked off an unbelievable year for the league. With only 7 teams and one division the league was off and running.
The league was form with 7 teams who's players have entered their last year in High School as seniors in '09. The graduating class of the FPBL will be one to remember, as they were the first one's to play in league. Tomorrow the league will kick off it's first game of the 14th season with the 11u Weston Hawks playing against the Broward Scorpions. The league is home to 162 teams in the FPBL with 8 Divisions and to 65 Teams in the Treasure Coast/Palm Beach division. The FPBL has emerge as one of the best and most competitive leagues in South Florida.
The league is affiliated with USSSA Baseball and offers tournaments throughout South Florida with League play in the Spring & Fall Season. A playoff system is in place to crown division champions.
So, who will be crowned Champion in the '09 Fall Season?.............We will have to wait and see.
Good luck to all this season !!!
