The PPO Bengals have always taken care of the  Miramar Canes on the field, but over the past 3 weeks the Canes have been playing some solid baseball. Just fresh of their 2nd place finish in the Fall Nationals and feeling very confident, the Canes Al Ortiz was masterful in last tonight's game. Ortiz pitched the entire game allowing just one unearned run in the last Inning to defeat the always tough PPO Bengals 5-1.

Al was dominating tonight with a blazing fastball and sinking change-up that kept the Bengals off-balance. Al also,delivered a clutch base hit to drive in one run. Others contributing to the win were catcher Kevin Rodriguez who delivered a base hit to drive in a run as well and caught the game and the first ever Canes No-hitter. The win marks the Canes fourth consecutive win climbing them to the fifth spot in the league standings, the Canes will now go against the second place team in the PL Bulldogs on Tuesday
