The Piranaz 9U played some amazing baseball all weekend and were able to put up 13 runs in the semi finals against a tough and very experienced TEAM MIAMI.

Team Miami had just defeated the Piranaz the day before in a seeding game and the Piranaz knew that they had to show up on Sunday ready for a ball game and that they did. The Piranaz led the game the whole day and had Team Miami pinned down 13-4 heading into the last inning. Team Miami mounted a strong comeback in the last inning of the semi finals that had everyone on the edge of their seats up until the final out of the game but the Piranaz managed to win the game 13-8 and advance to the championship game. Zach Hurley pitched 5 strong innings and was a huge part of the Piranaz win.

The Piranaz faced the West Pines Cobras in the final game. It was a very tight game heading into the last inning with the score tied 9-9 until the Piranaz let loose with a 7 run assault in the top of the 6th. The Cobras battled back in the bottom of the 6th and scored a few but the Piranaz won the game 16-12 to win the title.
