9u PL Bulldogs fight to the end...........Win Canes World Series Tournament
9U PL Bulldogs
battle back from an 8-1 defficiet in extra
innings to defeat the Weston Red Hawks in
the Canes World Series Championship.
The Bulldogs, who
seeded 6th, had a tough road yesterday to get to the Championship game. They had
to get thru 2 very tough elimination games against the Plantation Stars and the
West Boynton Lightning, both going into extra innings. The Bulldogs held the
Hawks close until the 4th inning when the Hawks pulled ahead 8-1. The young
Bulldogs refused to give up and fought back in the 5th inning to score 5 runs.
The Bulldogs went on to score 3 in the top of the 6th to pull ahead of the
Hawks 9-8 but the Hawks came back and scored a run to tie the game sending the game into extra innings. The
Bulldogs took a 1 run lead in the top of 7th inning and were able to hold the Hawks to take the Canes World Series Championship.
The young Bulldogs showed a lot of heart playing 3 games and being at the park
for more than 13 hours. They had to
battle all 3 games in extra innings and never gave up.
