The Bengals battle at the Heart Break Tournament. The Bengals went 1 and 1 in pool play by beating the West Pines Cobras (8-5) and loosing  to team Renteria (6-4). In the elimination games the Bengals faced off  first with the always tough Miramar Canes and took it to them by winning (6-1). Next up the always well coached Florida Pokers.

 

The Pokers struck first by  stealing home in the first inning to go up by one but the Bengals held  it together by great pitching and defense. The Bengals scored six runs  which the Pokers had no answer for and winning the game by(6-2).

 

The  Bengals went on to the Championship Game to face the tournament host 
and the runners up of the last three tournaments the West Pine Cobras.

WHAT A GAME THIS TURN OUT TO BE!!! The Bengals were short handed due  to Louis Zayas Jr going home with a stomach virus which left the  Bengals with only nine players and to make matters worse in the semi-final game against the Pokers Anthony Rodriguez got hit in the  mouth with a fast ball cutting his lips and loosening a tooth. But,Anthony staying true to his nickname the "BULLDOG" decided to stay and help his team mates(bloody mouth and all)!!!

The Cobras struck first with a run in the first. Then in the second  the Bengals grabbed the lead 2-1. By the forth inning it was tied 3-3  until the end of the six.

The game went to extra innings with incredible defensive plays being  made by both sides. This went on for FIVE EXTRA INNINGS! The coaches,parents, and umpires who witness the game could not believe how hard this kids played.But in the end it came down to a hit, a walk, and a bunt for the 
Bengals to take the victory and championship (4-3). When coach Lou was ask how did he felt his response was he could had not been more proud  of his boys for all the hard work they put in everyday and leaving it all on the field.
