9 Year old Lefty pitches a no hitter!
The Weston 9 U Red advanced to 3 – 0 this season behind excellent pitching, awesome defense and timely hitting combined with speed. Nine year old “Lefty” Luis Moriyon struck out three and allowed no walks in a 14- 1 win Friday night February 19th at Weston Regional Park. He hit a batter in the first inning and a miscue by an otherwise flawless defense, allowed the only run scored by the opposing team. Luis cruised the rest of the way with consistency and excellent ball placement backed by superb defense to finish the game with no hits allowed.
