The 9U Weston Black Hawks traveled to West Palm to face the 9U North division leading Piranaz in a battle for the ages. The Black Hawks are proving that they are a major player in the 9U division. Leadoff hitter Tyler Mastrogianni gets the Black Hawks off to a quick start with a leadoff double to the fence helping to get the Black Hawks off to an early 1-0 first inning lead. After a scoreless second inning the Black Hawks strike for 4 runs in the third inning capped off by an RBI single from Jesse Lohmeyer. Jalen Camacho is proving to be one of the best in the 9U division holding the powerhouse Piranaz lineup scoreless through four innings. After Gio Richardson from the Piranaz hits an RBI double off the fence to get the third run for the Piranaz and make the game interesting in the 5th inning, Justin Rauch comes in after going 2-3 at plate and goes the final 1 2/3 innings to secure the victory after what is considered one of the best 9U games this season. The Black Hawks are proving to be a talented and up and coming team in the 9U division.
