It's here.......USSSA Drafted League!!!!......The South Florida Baseball Alliance commence its All-Star Tournament this past weekend at West Pembroke Pines Pines with its first event in the FPS Cup Series.

The South Florida Baseball Alliance was formed this past season to serve as a platform for Recreational Baseball. The League was founded by five local Optimist Clubs that Includes, Pembroke Lakes Optimist Club, West Pembroke Pines Optimist, Miramar Optimist, PSN Baseball and Miami Lakes Optimist. The league is sanctioned by USSSA Baseball and spearheaded by David Dominguez, Miramar Optimist, whose goal has been to get Rec-baseball back in the map with USSSA Baseball. Mr. Dominguez is looking to have these kids play ball at a fair platform where you have All-stars teams vs All-Stars teams.

In the past you would have an All-star team play against a travel and they would not stand  a chance to compete, now we have a system in place with USSSA Baseball and If you played travel baseball during the Spring Season, you as a player cannot take  part in the All-Star Tournaments.

We're following the guidelines set forth by the founding members and will monitor player movement just like USSSA does it. We have already had 4 players ineligible  from taking part in these events and we plan on keeping it that way, says David Dominguez.

Florida Premier Sports is working along with all of the founding members to make sure that all guidelines are follow and is a huge proponent of the this league. FPS President Gaspar Palmer welcomes this league and believes that we can REVIVE In-House/Rec Ball in South Florida.

We want to see this league grow and will help spread the word out, says FPS President Gaspar Palmer. The USSSA SFBA league in its Inaugural Season is having the FPS Cup Series Events, this is a series of four events being hosted by West Pembroke Pines, Pembroke Lakes, Miramar and PSN with the club who wins out by virtue of most USSSA Points will win the  2010 FPS Cup, this trophy will be kept by the winning club until next year when it comes back into play again.

We're excited to have these many clubs participate in our first year. We're working on the league's web site and will try to get  more clubs for our second year of operation.
