PSN Outlaws 8U Win USSSA Coral Spings Labor Day Bash


n just their second tournament to date, the PSN Outlaws turned out a huge victory by defeating the West Boyton Barracudas 6-1 in the Championship Game at the USSSA Coral Springs Labor Day Bash.

The Outlaws started this weekend playing the Margate Titans Gold in their first seeding game. The Gold proved to be tough competition as the game was tied 3-3 in the 4th inning. The Outlaws broke the tie in the
5th inning when Ray Sobrino singled over 3rd and brought in Carlos Rey. The 6th inning was pivotal as the Outlaws broke it open by scoring 5 runs. They opened up the inning with 3 consecutive bunt singles,
behind that the cavalry started producing hit after hit. Ryan Del Corro went 3 for 3 and Bailey Llamoca went 3 for 4 with a monster triple.

The West Boynton Barracudas also brought their good game during the second seeding game of the weekend, but the Outlaws proved once again that we were going to be the Champions. The game was tied
2-2 until the 6th, Carlos Rey opened up the inning with a solid hit up the middle, Bailey LLamoca followed with a monster shot to the fence - blue called it a ground rule double. Up to bat next is Damian Hernandez,
who was intentionally walked. Bases loaded, Outlaws pumped, Ryan Del Corro solidifies the win with a walk off single. The Outlaws are not only undefeated but have the 1st round bye of the tournament.

On Sunday the Outlaws squared off against the Margate Titans AA in the semi-finals. The Titans started off strong as they scored 4 runs in the first inning but it was lights out after that. The Outlaw defense did not
allow any more runs and the offensive was on fire. The Outlaws scored 2 runs in the 1st inning and 2 runs in the 2nd but killed it once again in the 4th inning by scoring 5 runs, the scoreboard reads OUTLAWS 9
Titans 4. The Outlaws got it started with three consecutive hits and loading up the bases for Carlos Rey as he came up big with a grand slam! The Outlaws would score one more run in the 5th inning to officially
end the game 10-4.

The undefeated Outlaws were confident and pumped for the 8U championship game as they would face the West Boynton Barracudas again. The game was scoreless until the 4th inning proving both teams wanted
the W. The Outlaws wanted it more as their bats came alive as another barrage of hits poured on the Cuddas. Carlos Rey and Bailey Llamoca started the rally with two consecutive hits, setting up Damian Hernandez
with two runners on base. Damian answered their call and hit a bomb over the center fielders head allowing the Outlaws to score the first run of the game. Ryan Del Corro, Joshua Catoni and Gaby Sanchez continued
to drive in runs as the Outlaws scored 5 runs in the 4th inning. The Outlaw defense was solid holding a scoreless Cuddas until the 6th inning. The hard core defense was led by Danny Resillez, Nicky Ditas and Damian
Hernandez. The Outlaws defeated the Barracudas 6-1 to win their first tournament.

Congratulations goes out to the Outlaws, head coach Anibal Villar, the assistant coaches and the parents along with their players (Danny Resillez, Nicky Ditas, Carlos Rey, Bailey Llamoca, Ray Sobrino, Damian
Hernandez, Ryan Del Corro, Daunte De Jesus, Joshua Catoni, Nicky Villar and Gaby Sanchez) for all their hard work and dedication.
