The North Palm Beach Whitecaps took first place in the Palm Beach Gardens Columbus Day Tournament this past Sunday. The team went 4-0 in the tournament, outscoring their opponents 43-9. The offense was led by Hunter Holland, Andru Summerall, Sendle Jean, Tom Urban and Jack Iervolino Combining for 12 home runs in 4 games. Hunter Holland led the group with an impressive 5 dingers in 4 four games. The Whitecaps won the semi-final game by a score of 15-1 behind an impressive offense and a solid pitching performance by Jack Iervolino and Shane Roberts. They then went on to defeat the South Florida Swamp Rats 9-3 in the Championship Game with a stellar complete game effort by Tom Urban. The Whitecaps are a new team out of North Palm Beach County. The Players are, Blake Crumbley, Shane Drohan, Hunter Holland, Jack Iervolino, Sendle Jean, Richard Joy, Sean Maletzke, Wesley Oldham, Cody Pitman, Carson Powell, Shane Roberts, Andru Summerall and Tom Urban. This was the first tournament the team has played and the coaches are looking for great things from this group in the future.
