Team Easton won the USSSA 11-U Fall National Championship at Halpatiokee Park in Stuart this past weekend.  With a very strong field including the South Florida Young Guns, Piranaz and West Boynton Vipers, Team Easton earned a quality championship victory.  The tournament started in heartbreaking fashion for Easton with a loss in Pool Play to the Miami Suns 8-7 after being up 7-1 going into the last inning.  Following that tough loss the coaches and players came together and were determined that that game would not define their tournament.  The next team Easton faced was the PSN Rebels with Easton coming out on top 15-4 to head into Bracket Play 1-1.  On Sunday morning, Easton outdueled a gritty MB Mambises team to take a hard-fought 4-2 victory.  Next up was a tough, back and forth game with the Treasure Coast Young Guns with Easton winning 7-5.  In the Finals, Team Easton faced the West Boynton Vipers who had just beaten the Piranaz in a back and forth 9-7 game.  Against the Vipers, Team Easton played perhaps its most complete game with timely hitting, quality pitching and a very stingy defense to come away with a 10-2 Championship win.  Team Easton scored 43 runs in its five games in the tournament.
