The 10U PPO Bengal’s are CHAMPIONS once again.  We have literally brought home the “gold”.  For being champions in the USSSA Fall Nationals tournament, we were given championship rings.  This win makes it 4-tournament wins in-a-row.  Our records in these tournaments are 15-0-1. 

In this tournament, we fell behind in all 5 games that were played.  But the Bengal’s were able to come from behind in all the games.  We had great pitching, awesome defense and timely hitting.  Gavin Casas hit a 3 run homerun in the Semi-Finals game to put us up by 5 runs.  And with a 5 run lead in the last inning, we had to have a perfect throw from our center fielder (Christian Vargas), to home plate to get the last out and win by 1 run.  It was an exciting finish to a great game. 

In the Championship game, once again we fell behind early.  But got ahead in the bottom half of the 1^st inning (3-2).  In the second, we fell behind again with a couple of walks, and a couple of hits by the Bulldogs.  The Bengal’s scratched and clawed back up and took the lead for good, and won another tight game.  All of our games were won by 1 run.  It was an incredible tournament for the Bengal’s.  Lets continue our great play.  Go Bengal’s!!!!
