10U Palm Beach PIRANAZ Go Undefeated and Win the Okeeheelee Halloween Tournament!

The 2009 reigning champions came out hungry and looking to defend their title and the Palm Beach PIRANAZ came out of the gates fired up and ready to play at the Okeeheelee Halloween event held October 28-31^st at Okeeheelee Park. They faced the Cooper City Cowboys on Friday winning that game 9-1, and then beat the Okeeheelee Vipers on Saturday 18-3, then played another game with the Cowboys on Sunday morning and the score was the same again, 9-1. On Sunday afternoon they faced the Aces in the Championship and won the game 8-3 to finish undefeated and take home the Championship title.

This is the very first games that the Piranaz have played in since the Spring season ended so it was great to see the kids come out and pick up right where they left off back in July. The solid Piranaz pitching was led by great performances by lefty David Powers and one of the hardest throwing pitchers we have ever seen in the 10U Division, Cristian DesRosiers.

Overall, it was a total team effort and every kid on the team came through with key hitting, great execution, outstanding defense and some very aggressive base running. It was great to see the boys come out so charged up and ready to win after such a long break away from the game. This team is full of talented kids and from top to bottom and they are going to be a tough team to beat in the 10U Division.
