14u Weston Hawks Repeat as Champions!!

Our 15th FPBL Season came to an end last night at 8:25PM.  A day where we saw the 8u Young Guns of Miramar win 4 games in a day to win it all, the 9u SF Piranaz being just about out of it, when they were down to their last at bat against the WP Cobras 3-4 and scored two runs to win 5-4 in  their first playoff game of the day, and 8hrs later win it all defeating a very good Weston Rattlers team.

 The 10u Weston Black Hawks continued their magical season (22-2) defeating a very good Boca Storm team 4-2 to win their first FPBL title. The 11u Weston Rattlers had an unbelievable run where they defeated the Jupiter Hammerheads scoring 3 runs in the last Inning, then shutting out the  #3 seed Weston Red Hawks 8-0  and roaring back scoring 7 runs in the last two Innings after being down for most of the game and defeat a tough West Boca Panthers team and win their first FPBL title.

In one of the unprovable runs came in the 12u division where the 11u Miami Brawlers winners last year's  USSSA Elite 32 World Series had a phenomenal run in the playoffs as a #16 seed and playing up in the 12u Division, the Brawlers defeated the # 1 seed Mo Steel 5-3, then took on a good #8 PSN Eagles team and won 8-0, then beat a solid Mizno Edge-Blue team 4-2, but in the Championship Game faced a very good PB Nitro team, in a game  where they held their own for four Innings, but collapse in the fifth Inning allowing 12 runs and losing their quest for their first league Championship. Palm Beach Nitro survive a scare against the PPO Bengals as they went extra innings in a 7-6 win.

The 13u Division had Team Reebok cruised by everyone, as they where simply much better than everyone else in that division, but a great run by the PPO Bengals who end it up in the Championship Game against Reebok, but fell short against a very good Reebok team. Coach Sal had that team prepare and ready for anybody and it showed on the field, congratulations to team Reebok on their first League title.

The 14u Weston Hawks-Elite won their second consecutive title with a come from behind win against an Inspired and fired-up Pembroke Lakes Bulldogs team. The Hawks trailed late in the game, when they put up 6 runs in the  6th Inning against tired pitching staff on the PL Bulldogs.

As for my predictions, well if you go over 50% in your pics and you consider that a good bet, then I did ok. I picked 4 out 7 winners, not so bad after all......and yeah, I heard it from those that prove me wrong, but I'm HAPPY for then that I was WRONG.
