12u Palm Beach Nitro Takes First FPBL Title
Fall
season was a challenging experience with all the great teams in our
division and Palm Beach NITRO finishing out their season with a 15-6-1
record.
The start of the playoffs found us with 8 due to one of our players
having emergency surgery. That did not deny the will of our team to
compete in the playoffs. In our first game, we defeated The Parkland
Pokers 9-1. Then our team was complete again with our player back from
surgery to travel to Pembroke Shores to face some great pitching from
Pembroke Lakes Wildcats to win 4-0. Our semi-final win 6-5 against PPO
Bengals turned out to be a tight game that went into extra innings. In
the championship game, Palm Beach NITRO faced the Miami Brawlers who had
been dominating throughout the playoffs. Through 4 innings, the game
was very close until the top of the 5th inning when our bats came alive
scoring 12 runs going on to win 16-3. Congratulations to every member
of the Palm Beach NITRO for a great season!
